IT Developer (PHP) – Remote Work

About Us:

ENF is an environmental web platform that promotes companies in the solar industry (ENF Solar) and the recycling industry (ENF Recycling). We have been running for 17 years and are the most popular solar B2B website in the world with over 3 million users each year.  We have an exciting new job opening for IT Developer (PHP) to join our team and help us further develop and improve an amazing website.

Position Summary and Tasks:

Our site is connecting companies, products, buyer leads, prices and price data trends and much more wrapped in a multi-language in-house translation system. We have a lot of exciting development plans like modernising our site, expanding our internal and external functionalities, and many more. Some of our current and future challenges are:

Current tasks:

• Writing web pages using Tailwind/PHP/Svelte/Alpine/ Twig, and designing proper data structure (Mysql or Redis).
• Finding innovative solutions to integrate new technologies into our systems.
• Consulting with our research staff and sales staff to help improve their system tools.

Future challenges:

• Creating a text chat system interfaced with Whatsapp’s API
• Optimizing our website and optimizing customers advertising for mobile devices (working actively with Designers)
• Creating and improving geolocation lists (by region and city) for every solar energy installer in the world
• Adding a badge for a premium advertiser’s level that can also be shared on the manufacturer’s website.  The badge should automatically update (number of years, downgrade if they stop being a premium advertiser, etc)
• Improving (and where possible automating) processes to assist our Web Research Team rechecks thousands of companies and products on our system.  Improving the interface on our backend system will result in saving a lot of man-hours.
• Integrating Google Auto Translate in our WhatsApp chat system and ENF’s webchat interface
• Optimizing our Sales CRM system to be relevant for our specific company needs.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years experience in Laravel or similar PHP MVC frameworks such as Symfony, CodeIgniter and CakePHP
• 2+ years experience in modern frontend development - VUE, Livewire, Alpine.js, Svelte, Angular, etc.
• Knowledgeable in best practices and able to write clean, maintainable code.
• Ability to work independently, plan and provide system solution.
• Fluent English

As a plus:

• Experience with good quality processes (documentation, planning)
• Ability to quickly learn global brands’ API interfaces (Whatsapp, Google etc.)
