HR-Consulting Srl on behalf of its client - "International Committee of the Red Cross" is looking for a highly professional candidate to fulfill the position of Accountant.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral and independent international humanitarian organization that helps and protects victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence. The ICRC is currently looking for staff for its operations in Moldova.

GENERAL DUTIES:
• Understands and adheres to the seven Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
• Understands and adheres to the ICRC Code of Conduct
• Understands the roles of the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
• Respects and observes staff regulations and security rules at all times
• Represents the ICRC in a professional manner at all times
• Develops and maintains a pleasant and conducive working environment with colleagues and line managers
• Performs all duties with the highest level of confidentiality in the interest of the employees and the ICRC
• May be asked to perform tasks not covered in this job description and to provide support to other departments
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting entries:
• Prepare accounting entries in IRIS on a daily basis.
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions in accordance with financial procedures.
• Checks the supporting documents against all invoices, informs the supervisor in case of any discrepancy.
• Performs integrity checks of accounting entries made on a regular basis.
• Print all vouchers on daily basis
• The suppliers registration (check the supporting document and recorded in IRIS)
Accounting closing:
• Participate in the monthly closing activities
• Proceed to the monthly reconciliation of the bank accounts
• Send the vouchers package to FAD REV in Manilla
• Prepare all deduction documents and entries (phone, privet use of car and other monthly deduction) for mobile and resident staff
Miscellaneous:
• Keeps files up to date at all times and guarantees proper filing of relevant supporting documents for future reference, including audits.
• Knows, applies and complies with all administrative and financial procedures and deadlines linked to his/her work.
• Identifies anomalies or other issues and reports them to his/her supervisor.
• Prepares the monthly LARC Files and Investigate differences and send the reconciliation file 1st week of the month to the finance responsible according to FAD_REV instructions.
• Reply to the post-closing queries and the monthly transactional comments.
• Follows and consults the F&A manual regularly to be up to date with changes at all times
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
• Follows up on all work-related messages and correspondence with the relevant contacts and departments
• Is aware of the delegation’s objectives and has a good knowledge of the Movement and other contacts relevant to the position.
• Collects and shares information so as to improve the ICRC’s understanding of the environment and humanitarian trends and responses.
• Represents the ICRC in an appropriate way during activities, in meetings and in the field, and avoids any activity that may reflect negatively on the ICRC’s image.
• Takes responsibility for his / her own professional learning and development.
• Is particularly aware of the confidential nature of this position and treats all HR related information consequently.
